EFSMA President Prof.Bachl informs that UEMS (European Union of Medical Specialities) Council convened in Munich on 21&22 October 2005 and agreed upon the creation of Multidisciplinary Joint Committee (MJC) on Sports Medicine. This important development will hopefully lead to establishing a European Board of Sports Medicine under the umbrella of EFSMA in the future. Creation of Sports Medicine MJC in EUMS will also be encouraging to promote and standardize sports medicine education in all European Countries and recognition of sports medicine speciality. We wish you thank for all your continuous support.
